I would like to develop a module that allows the purchase of a checkout page warranty extension.
The price is a percentage of the total products and it always refers to the total cart, not to the single product.
I was thinking of creating a puppet product, with sku: WARRANTY_EXT and updating the price dynamically with an observer: sales_quote_collect_totals_after.

My question is, is this approach right? Do you recommend others?
